The Lanarkshire Walking Guide Companion app was developed as part of a University assessment as it was part of the module Mobile Development with HTML5 and JavaScript.

The brief stated that I was required to build a mobile web application using Object-Oriented JavaScript using the latest version of HTML, furthermore I was allowed to implement any other technologies which could enhance the app. At present the application is a prototype, in this version I used jQuery UI to build the actual interface as well as other interactive features such as the accordion which displays the information. The app is aimed at people who like to go hillwalking or on nature trails, with that in mind I added further features such as a compass and a map so users can plan routes. When viewing this project it is best to use a mobile or tablet device to see some of the features in action.
