Stadium Series Minimalist Aerial Posters

This personal illustration project explores how little visual information is needed to make an iconic football stadium instantly recognisable. Rather than producing detailed architectural drawings, the objective was to distil each venue into its defining forms while preserving the unique characteristics that supporters instinctively recognise.

Each illustration was created from an aerial perspective using official club colour palettes and simplified vector shapes. Careful attention was given not only to the stadium structures themselves but also to the surrounding road layouts and architectural quirks that give each ground its identity. From the distinctive roof trusses surrounding Celtic Park to the asymmetrical Main Stand and tight roadside positioning of Fir Park, every element was deliberately chosen to retain recognisability while embracing a minimalist aesthetic.

Created entirely in Adobe Illustrator, the series demonstrates an understanding of composition, abstraction and visual storytelling, reducing complex architecture into clean geometric forms without losing its character.
