Continuing to Learn Through Personal Projects

Alongside my commercial work, I regularly set myself creative challenges to explore new techniques and refine my skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. These self-initiated projects allow me to experiment with different design styles, reverse-engineer visual effects and expand my understanding of digital illustration, typography and photo manipulation.

Rather than following tutorials step-by-step, I enjoy analysing how an effect has been created and recreating it using my own workflow. Over the years this has helped me develop a broader creative skillset while improving my problem-solving and technical ability across Adobe’s creative applications.

The collection below includes a variety of experimental projects inspired by everything from vintage printmaking and comic book artwork to architectural blueprints, digital painting, typography and realistic texture creation. While these pieces were created for personal development rather than commercial clients, many of the techniques explored have influenced my professional work and strengthened my ability to approach creative briefs with confidence.

Creativity never stands still, and neither do I. These projects reflect my curiosity, my willingness to keep learning and my passion for continually developing as a designer.
