Overview
Created as a personal illustration project, this collection reimagines iconic films and television series through minimalist poster design. Inspired by the storytelling power of cinema and the clean aesthetics of contemporary graphic illustration, each poster captures a memorable scene, object or visual motif using simple shapes, bold composition and carefully selected colour palettes.
Focusing primarily on cult classics from the 1980s and 1990s, the series celebrates nostalgic favourites while exploring how complex narratives can be distilled into striking, instantly recognisable artwork.
My Approach
Rather than recreating original film posters, each design focuses on identifying a defining moment or visual element that fans immediately associate with the story. By stripping away unnecessary detail and relying on composition, silhouette and negative space, every poster aims to communicate the essence of the film through a single image.
All artwork was created as scalable vector illustrations in Adobe Illustrator before being prepared for high-quality print, ensuring each design maintained sharp detail across a variety of formats.
The project provided an opportunity to experiment with visual storytelling, composition and typography while developing a consistent illustration style across an expanding collection of movie and television-inspired artwork.

Outcome
