Overview

Created for my YouTube channel, this tutorial demonstrates how to design a vintage Art Deco-inspired travel poster using Adobe Illustrator. The video is aimed at helping designers of all skill levels develop their vector illustration techniques through an engaging, step-by-step walkthrough.

Rather than relying on complex illustrations, the tutorial focuses on using simple geometric shapes, Pathfinder tools and carefully chosen typography to create a clean, professional design inspired by the classic travel posters of the Art Deco era.

My Approach

The tutorial was carefully planned to take viewers through the complete creative process, from setting up the document and constructing the ship using vector shapes, to adding depth, typography and finishing touches that bring the artwork to life.

Throughout the video I explain not only how to use Adobe Illustrator's tools, but also why particular design decisions are made, helping viewers build confidence while learning practical techniques they can apply to their own projects.
